Summary: Price of diesel hiked by Rs.5 sparked protests allover the nation and its waves hit the town of Valanchery too. The left parties and the BJP protested in the town on the Friday evening and they call for a statewide strike on Saturday from 6AM to 6PM. The number of household cooking gas cylinders are normalized to 6 per year also added agony. The congress government remain unchanged on their stand regarding the price hike, even though the members of UPA (United Progressive Alliance) stood against it.
